  • Seat Pivot Pin Removal

I am trying to remove the seat pivot pins on my '63. They do not appear to be threaded or have any kind of retainers olding them from the back side. Does anyone know how tthese come out?

As far as I know the pivot pins are part of the frame and are not removable. Why do you need to take them out.

I want to remove the plastic side panels which are in poor shape. These surround the pivot pin. I am also putting new upholstry on the seats. 52938S appears to be what I am trying to remove.

Simply pull the cotter pin then use a long flat screwdriver to pry the leg off the pin. That's how it's done. - Dave

52938-S is just a screw that holds the trim piece to the back support. Remove the trim and you will be able to remove the seat back as Dave mentioned.

I found the pins and got it apart. They were hard to see under all the old dirt.... Thanks for the help.
