Identifying Parts (Part 3)

The car I just bought came with a whole bunch of parts. Which is great. I believe some of these parts are worth hanging onto for future use, selling or trading. And some are probably junk parts I should discard. Any help to identify would be appreciated!

First photo says it is for the suspension and says upper inner on the bags. Look to be in good shape.

The second photo looks like a junk part to me all rusted up.

Third one I have no idea - maybe something to do with brakes? It's not in the best shape.

The fourth photo looks to me like the original carb. Or part of it. Probably still valuable. Thoughts?

Fifth photo - also part of the carb maybe? Not sure.

Sixth photo - what the heck is this thing?

6. Vacuum canister (normally under the driver side fender)

They appear to be all used so the carburetor is the only real valuable part.

Wow that was really fast! Thank you! Do you think any of the other stuff is worth holding onto or just the carb? You are probably right that it's the only thing of value. Maybe the control arms because they are small and look to be in good shape. I think they were only removed because of the air suspension being put in instead.

Used control arms aren't worth keeping. Someone obviously installed new ones. It has nothing to do with the air suspension. The vacuum tank is from a '59 Thunderbird not a '60 so it wasn't taken from your car. Someone else may need it. The booster may be worth something if someone wants to rebuild it. The used fuel pump can be rebuilt but I usually just toss them.

Identifying Parts (Part 2)

Thanks for the help with the last set of parts. Again, want to weed out anything that is complete junk and hold onto what could be useful to someone or myself.

1 & 2 Looks like some interior panels (from 1958/1959).

3 Windshield wipers in two different sizes. Some chrome pieces random.

4 Really rough sun visors with arms. Maybe the arms are worth keeping.

5 some weird jigsaw looking moving piece. No idea. Plus a shock?

6 - another jigsaw clockwork thingy, some wiring, and a vented window. The window is a keeper I think.

7 - lights attached to front bumper

8 - look like gaskets to go around rear tail lights on a 58/59?

9 - not sure what these are.

The longer wiper arms are not originals but replacements. The gaskets in the bottom picture are valve cover (long black rubber) and exhaust (silver, not normally used). The sun visors are shot but the brackets may be usable if they're not too badly pitted. The door panel moldings are 58-59 as you mentioned. I would keep everything but the sun visors minus the chrome brackets (they should slide off pretty easily) and the exhaust gasket.

Thanks John! What about those weird looking black items with the clockwork looking things? I have no idea what those are. =)

Those are manual window regulators. I can't tell by the picture if the cylinder is a shock or a power steering ram.

Thank you for solving that mystery. Previous owner said the car came with manual windows and he changed it over to power.

Identifying Parts (Part 3)

Here are some more. Thanks for the help here.

1 - some spare chrome, window washer switch panel, radio cover? some scrap metal maybe i can get rid of?

2 - these stars look familiar. and the purple piece looks like a hood lid latch or trunk latch.

3 - i recognize all except the item on the top left with a bolt sticking out

4 - a bunch of nuts and bolts? Can I toss these plz? Not sure what those 3 pieces on the bottom are for.

5 - again the latch, upper and lower i believe for hood or trunk

6 - Pertronix Ignitor Kit... assuming this is an electronic starter kit. I think PO said he had an electronic starter installed so this could be a spare or something?

7 - Bezels, knobs, another latch, random things

8 - Lower bushings (4 of them). 3 are still sealed 1 is open.

9 - power window thingy, some little bulbs (what are these for?), unsure what the other pieces are... plus nuts and bolts that I would like to get rid of if they are unimportant.

I have no idea what the stars are. They don't look like Thunderbird to me. The piece with the bolt sticking out looks like some aftermarket clamp. The three pieces at the bottom are window channels. The part above the bushings is a stop light switch. It's not Squarebird so you can toss it if you want. The bulbs could be instrument lights. I wouldn't toss any of the nuts, bolts and clamps. Some may be hard to find if you ever need them.

Thanks for the advice. Will just have to save all these nuts and bolts lol. They are heavy!

What are window channels exactly? Really grateful for the help.

Each door and quarter window has a channel/guide where the roller goes into. They are most likely extras.
