I'm changing the rearview fender mirror (driver's side) on my 58 Bird. I'm a little hesitant through because I'm afraid that if there are any retaining parts inside the fender, they'll drop off and I'll have to go "fishing" once the old one comes off... Does anyone know if these mirrors can be simply unscrewed and replaced, or is there a bit more to this than I think?

Two screws and they come off. There's nothing inside the fender. Simple as can be.

They're just sheet metal screws that go right into the fender. There's nothing underneath.
