Side Pipes

Hello all!

After finishing my headers and exhaust, I find I'm not really happy with the pipes. I had originally toyed with the idea of installing a set of side pipes/stacks that I have for my 58 Ford pick up, but I was worried about the exhaust heat on the drivers side with the brake and fuel line under the floorboards.

I saw another members bird with lakes, and was wondering if any others had installed side pipes. Was there any issues with vapor locking/brakes/space? Thanks in advance!

Never heard of any issues with lake-pipes regarding heating fuel lines etc - normally the pipes are too far out-board to affect them.

Biggest issue seems to be scraping them on speed-bumps, kerbs etc.

They are a pain but I love them

Scaping them on speed bumps and jacking the car up the lake pipes are always an issue, with all that said the lake pipes look so good. They make the car look low. My lake pipes are not functional. My fathers were and for some odd reason they sounded really good. I would think they would be loud.
