Backspacing on factory rims that fit disk brakes

So my disk brakes move WMS outboard, and my
new rims have a bit less backspacing than the factory
    drum rims.

Was hoping some of the "Granada" type rims are closer
in backspacing to the orig drum rims.

I would use them in front and then the rims I bought on
the back, to even things out a bit. Right now my front
tire is almost 2" outboard vs the rear.

Isn't that due to the spindles you chose to use?

We normally stick with one of two choices because we know they work well; the OEM spindles that came on your Squarebird, fitted with Scarebird (S-10 brackets) OR Granada spindles with Ford calipers. Either fit Granada wheels without spacers but so do a lot of 14" rim offerings from the big parts houses like Summit. Modern cars all have disk brakes as do most modern 14" wheels. - Dave

Of course, I suspected that going in. But I still want to know
      the backspacing answer.

This is a typical Granada 14" X 6" wheel w/3-1/2" back spacing used with no spacers:

I don't think Squarebird OEM wheels were 14" X 6" so the original backspacing will be quite different. Also, the 'caliper hump' isn't there (which is the REAL issue).
