  • Securing fender skirt

I had the car with the skirts in the trunk.
Today I installed them for the first time for our next week-end trip.
I noticed previous owner used plastic strips on the hook loop maybe to secure the installing lever.
Indeed the lever (especially on the right) is prone to open and not secured in place.
Is there any current tip on how to secure the levers beside attaching them with a wire (or plastic strip)?

The locking rod can be bent to apply more tension. A safety wire or plastic wire tie is a good idea just to make sure they stay latched.
