Next to that black Dodge SUV with the winch on the front sits what looks to be a white '60 Golde Top! It certainly looks like the "towel rack" on the leading edge of the top. At least to me it does look like the wind bar...

I think its a plain '60 Ray....why a pic of THAT car wasn't taken instead of that silly Dodge is beyond me :p

You might be right, Cathie.. It just looks to be a bit more raised than usual. It might be the angle it was taken at.

Its a 50/50 call... hopefully there's a face on shot of the car so we can tell....:)

it could be my eyes but i think the squarebird in question is a 59 you can see just the edge of the door spear (under the ramchargers bumper) it looks to be chrome but as i said it's prolly just my eyes
the chrome around the birds winshield looks to be "normal" to me

Marco is going to have to settle this one for us! If only that Dodge were back a few more inches we might have our answer. To me, that spear looks like it is white! lol... I think you might be right though that the top is just a regular top, after looking at it again and again..

I'm voting it's a plain 60HT, no Golde Top...

Sorry for the rumble, but Cathie I thought a picture of THAT car was uploaded!!
(me and computers, still learning..........and A LOT of time!)
But I'll try it again in this reply and double check.

As Ray mentioned I'll settle this right now:
It's a '58 and she's in the TBird registry under number 5933.
http://www.tbirdregistry.com/viewdatasheet.asp?RegistryNumber=5933
(today she still has the same owners as mentioned at the registry).

I'll try to create a Picasa-album soon with more pics of the meeting, more to come.................
(and Keith, I've unfortunately only one other picture of the ambulance, but if you want I'll keep my eyes open next time and take pics of other angles because I see this car sometimes somewhere. Just let me now what you like to see......)

That's for now, here's the right pic:

That is a really pretty '58! I just thought, the way the front edge of the car roof was sticking up, that it might have had a wind bar on it, but nope. Don't know why I thought that! Thanks for posting the additional picture! That is one thing I like about the Squarebirds. If you can see the grill, or the side, you can tell right off if you are looking at a '58, 59, or a '60. And if you see six tail lights on it, you know you are looking at a '60. Until someone comes along, and puts a '59/60 grill on the front of a '58, puts the chrome arrows on the side on a '58 or '60. Or changes out the rear and puts six taillights in a '58 or '59! Then ya dont know what ya got! lol..

OK, here it is...................
Pictures are not made with the intention to put them on public view. (this is all new to me, learning every day)
I just quickly shot a few for myself before the kids went crazy :p they wanted to go home.
(If you like it to see more about USA cars in the Netherlands please reply and I''ll try to post more on "Events")

Nice Pix Marco, I like the old school, rat rod 2dr sedan. Looks like it getting a lot of attention. But I think my favorite (besides the tbirds) is the black Buick convertable, what a car!!

As far as the "chrome", silverish, shinny edge, it must be a shade or lighting trick.

Now the real queston. Wasn't the windbar a sunroof option? Meaning not ALL sunroof 1960's had them, some did some didn't? Or was the windbar "standard equipment" on all sunroofs?

Curious Jon.

Correct; it was an option, not standard....although I am not seeing the "windbar" listed under the options area of the tbird book I have, thats odd...that wouldn't be a dealer addition would it?

As Chewrocks mentioned, it's an Impala.

According to Jon about the shade/light: I just replaced a couple of pics in the album because they were (to) dark indeed. The evening sun was quite bright and there's a roof above a part of the parkinglot, so difficult light to 'catch' everyting OK with a small camera.
(I've adapted 5 pics, made them all brighter but that has unfortunately also influence on the colour. But now you can see a little bit more of what's in the pictuere)
