Hey guys I have gotten some great info here before finally have my 67 97% done all except front brakes easy peasy right ? Not so fast I have new rotors and calipers easy plug and play right remember u said 67 ****. I put rotors on and went to replace calipers and they won't slide on they won't slide straight down tabs on caliper line up perfect with tabs on spindle right on top of each other any ideas ? Trying to complete for cruisin the coast in 4 days really going into *** mode lol any help will be appreciated as I am totally baffled does any body have part number for the spindle knuckle not sure if previous owner replaced it or not

Look for any of the following numbers on your spindles:

RH - C6AA-3107-C
C7AA-3107-B
C7SZ-3105-A

LH - C6AA-3108-C
C7AA-3108-B
C7SZ-3106-A

Are you sure the calipers are the correct ones. Do they have part numbers on them.

A 7S would indicate 1967 Thunderbird so that looks right. What brand are the calipers. I can't find those numbers.

Looking through the Rockauto catalog I found those numbers you mentioned stamped on a couple of the calipers so they appear to be correct. Do the calipers fit over the spindle without having the pads installed. Perhaps you just need to compress the pistons all the way so they slide over with the pads in.

Sorry was looking thru my receipts and of course I can't find that one but it is possible that I got them from rock auto . Oh yes I checked that pads are compressed all the way in rotor has clearance on them . When I slide them straight down the tabs line up perfectly on top of each other . If I try to angle it in and force it then the inside of the housing makes contact on the rotor I even measured rotor it's 1.25 thought maybe needed to turn it down I'm baffled

Where did you get the rotors from. What brand are they. I wasn't aware that new ones were available.

My suggestion is to compare the old and new parts side by side and measure them. It should be pretty obvious where the difference is.

Ok update time and another question went out last night and think I found my problem the tires have alot of negative camber top of tires leaning way in is there a fairly easy way to adjust them without the alignment tool ?
