Hey everyone I'm new here and excited to get my 1966 landau 428 cruise control car restored. What i am working on now is the turn indicators on the fenders they blink for a few seconds then stay on, it happens when my headlights are on, I want to take off the relay and adjust it, but I can't seem to find it under the dash, I can here the click, but don't see it. Does anyone out there have a 1966, that can post a picture of under Thier dash to where this relay is, I think the 65s were located in a different spot, but I'm not sure. Thanks!

Hi Mike, I see you got to post. I don't have a '66, but perhaps if you check the Technical Resource Library (TRL), and do a Ctrl F (for Find), type in wiring diagrams. Slide down the list of years of Tbird wiring diagrams to the 1966 ones. Print them off and they may help you. If not, hopefully John Pizzi ~ jopizz will be on here shortly and he should certainly be able to tell you where to look.

Mike, I see, according to the TRL, that the turn signal relay for the 1966 is located under the Package Tray in the trunk. Check out this link.

Thanks, Martin ~ OUR5T8BIRD for pointing out that the turn indicator relay is located above your left knee when in the drivers seat!

OUR5T8BIRD is correct. It's not difficult to find. It's a normal looking relay with the two mounting ears not the funny looking seat belt relay that's also under there. If I can find a picture I will post it.

Please keep in mind it's the turn signal indicator relay, for the indicators on the fenders. Thanks!

Here's a picture of the two relays you will see under the dash. The turn signal relay is the one on the left.

Yeah, I know what it looks like, I just don't see it under my dash, could it possibly be under the dash behind the radio, it kinda sounds like that's where I hear the click,?

I've replaced a number of them and it's always been under the dash near the brake pedal bracket. I had a '66 recently and that's where it was. I doubt someone could've moved it. The wires aren't that long. If Ford changed the location sometime in '66 I'm not aware of it.

Thanks John, I'm at work right now, when I get home I will check that location, I must have overlooked it.

It might be directly over the steering column out of my view.
