Finally got a motor for my bird, and am getting ready to pull the 352 and tranny. When last we all spoke the 352 was overheating, and making a bunch of racket. Sounds like a diesel. The tranny was also leaking fluid. I think the tranny is just some bad seals, so I figure I will take care of that when installing my rebuilt 390. Going to do some mild mods. I plan to run it with the 390 while I rebuild the 352 slowly. I may spoil myself with the 390 though as it has a Mallory distributer and alternator set up instead of the points system and generator on my 352. Figure when I get the 352 done I can decide what I want to do, and put the 390 in an old Galaxy or something.....

Perhaps my wife is an undercover Tbird atheist .....THE HORROR!
She "likes" the car fine, but when you have four kids and the oldest is 9 sometimes family priorities trump other stuff. Luckily what we put the money towards was paying off the house, which frees me up for a bit more fun now! No mortgage -Happy HD!

Once you get a taste of that 390 you won't go back.
