View Full Version : 1960 Convertible Parts Needed
01-23-2015, 08:40 AM
I'm trying to assist a T-Bird owner in Sweden to locate some parts required for a recently purchased 1960 convertible.
He needs the deck lock nut, lock nut housing and housing support bracket as shown on the illustration below.
Shipping would be to my home in PA where my friend would pick them up when he visits the US later this year. Thanks for your assistance.

Check with Carl Heller ~ partsetal for your parts. Carl has a lot of Squarebirds parts, including parts cars. You can send him a PM on our site to request part#'s.

I would check with Carl first, but if he can't help there are some out on eBay.

Thanks guys. I have already tried Carl and he did not have these particular parts. Thought I might find someone here who has these items kicking around in their spare parts collection. I'll keep looking.

Mike, check the Advertisements Forum for the various Tbird parts houses. Start with the Bird House in Delaware, and the Bird Nest in Oregon, both who have parts cars. Also try John Draxler at the Thunderbird Ranch. He also has parts and has been filling orders recently.

Mike, if you can't find any second hand bits that you listed, see if you can get new ones from Larry's. No guarantee that you'll get the bits & pieces you might have to get the whole item. The other people I would try is Obsolete Ford Parts, I believe they specialize from Baby to Flair Birds.
Best of luck

I sent you a PM.

When dealing with companies like Obsolete Parts, Green, or NOS Parts, and other companies like that, you are probably going to have to provide them with the Ford Part #'s. That is the first thing they are going to ask you for... That has been my experience when I have called them in the past.

This guy on Ebay is parting out a 60 vert.
