I pulled the intake manifold using the 0.5 ton chain lift in the pole barn with a load leveler.

That intake manifold is heavy!

Intake manifold ready to load for the trip to the machine shop.  Why did I put it on the floor?

Heads are off the engine and ready to go to the machine shop.
I cut the exhaust pipes because I couldn’t get the nuts on the studs to turn at all.

Valves appear to be in good shape.

Still have have to wait and see what the back side looks like.

Hopefully this will eliminate some unknowns in the engine.

Those head gaskets are sure hard to get off when they’ve been there forever!
