
These models were made by AMT in 1959. They were made of plastic in 1/25 scale. They had a friction motor in a metal chassis driving the front wheels. The plastic that the 1958 to 1960 Thunderbird AMT models were made of was very prone to warping. It is rare to find a unwarped model. Guidebooks for these models state that slight warping is expected for the listed value prices. Unwarped models command a premium. The models were painted in factory paint colors and were available in probably all the factory color combinations.
